moon of incest - Mrgashira

Ajitha Shashidhar :
Do you have any favorite character from Indian culture, mythology or history?

Stan Lee:
I've always found Brahma to be a personal favorite, for his role as a creator of everything in the Universe.

Also, I find the creation and power of Brahmastra super-weapon, exciting.

Earth, moon @ Krttika

Amara Simha ceded defeat in debate, to Sancara. And soon slipped into depression.

Gathering all his literary works, he started a small fire. And fed it with his manuscripts, one after another.

Sancara heard of this, and rushed to the spot.

'Whatever has come upon you? In the name of religion, how can you deny the world of your intellectual contribution?,' he chided. 'There will always be as many streams of thought as  there are varieties in mankind.  Comparative study of differing manuscripts can only bring more clarity,' he counselled.

But it was too late. All but one of the manuscripts, were consumed.
Nama-linga-anushasanam survived death by flames, and shines as Amara Kosha - eternal cache.

3rd quarter @ Aslesha

Knowledge is always of the past. Knowing is always here and now.

Past must cease, for present to be. And knowledge must cease, for knowing to be.

Knowing is alive.
Knowledge is dead.
Weda means knowledge.
Wedas cannot reach Supreme Consciousness.

So in India, we have a very strange word - Wedanta, going beyond wedas.

Knowing enlivens, knowledge is dead - Osho

nine autumn nights - 2018

A bee is referred variously as Bhringam, - the buzzer - Bhramaram, - the whirler -  Madhupam - nectar guzzler.

When used as metaphor for movements of five senses and mind, Sancara chooses the word Shat-pada - the six footed.

In his six-versed poem of Shatpadi, he prays for both Shanti and Danthi. Tradition eulogises Shankaracharya as, Shanti Danthi Boomnam.

Joy Of Being

If you can sing with love and dance with love . . .
- an ordinary activity as whirling out of love -
. . . joy and celebration are enough to reach the innermost sanctum of existence.

moon of murshid

The word Guru means heavy.

Guru is a heavy cloud, that waits for your thirst - to pour down.

Guru is a flower, heavy with perfume - waiting for you to sense it.

Guru is heavy with energy and the unknown.

Guru is heavy with the Divine - heavy like a woman pregnant.

Guru is a ripe fruit, waiting to fall - heavy.

Guru is ready to pour down - only your thirst is needed. A thirsty earth is needed.

the Wishaka gibbous

Wedas emphasise sacrifice.

Sacrifice needs fiery intensity.

Among all gods, Murugan personifies fire - as Shiva personifies space.

And he is known as Agni Bu hu.

Amara's Thesaurus lists him as
Senaani hi, Agni Bu hu, Guha ha.

Formless self that dwells in the cave of one's heart, finds expression in the world, as flame and fiery intensity.

Orion crescent

Two kinds of retractions need to happen, for a human to evolve.

One happens by not paying much attention to senses - visual, listening, smell, taste and tactile.
This is known as Samam - and it leads to the experience of Shanti.

Another happens by not pampering the mind.
This is known as Damam - and it leads to Danti.

Buddha's full moon

In Buddhism there are 2 sects.

One is known as the Hinayana, the small vehicle.
Other is Mahayana, the great boat.

Mahayana is the path of Tantra and Hinayana is the path of Yoga.

Escape to safety

Sometimes Tilopa surpasses even Buddha and Jesus. Maybe because Buddha talked to the masses. And Tilopa is talking to Naropa.

When you talk to a very evolved disciple, you can bring the highest down. Talk to the masses - and you have to make compromises.

Jesus had very ordinary disciples, in that way, very ordinary. And his teachings could not go to that height, where Buddha can go easily.

But nothing to compare with Tilopa. He searched for a single man, an evolved soul - Naropa.

That's why the teaching has taken a flight, to the very farthest corner of the sky.

Dewi damanam '18

There are 2 paths - path of a warrior and path of a king.
Yoga is the first, Tantra the second.

Almost all religions follow the path of yoga, the path of subjugation.
A soldier, has to follow.

king simply lives loose and natural.
Tantra does not use conditioned reflexes.
It says you have to flower into a perfectly awakened being - not like a robot-like mechanism.

Suddenly it comes, when you are ready. Even footsteps aren't heard.   It has bloomed.

Regulus moon

Gods sent Apsaras - nymphs of still waters - to earth, so they distract Nara and Narayana from their withdrawal and austerities.

Infuriated Nara harrumphed at them.

In fear, they scurried to bait the soft target - Narayana.
He smiled at them - he was beyond anger and lust.

And tapped his Uru or thigh - from where Urvashi appeared. Her beauty and grace put the apsaras to shame.

They realised that their mission had failed.

Lenten withdrawal

The six streams of classical self-exploration are hinged around sense-withdrawal, or Pratyahara.

Without this withdrawal, they all become unhinged and dysfunctional.

Sarasiruha - bloom of still waters

The Buddhas point towards consciousness.
If you can sit silently, doing nothing - the spring is not far away.

The spring is bound to come.
It always comes - in silence.

As water flows downwards, your being rises upwards.
Just give it  a chance - give it solitude.
