Third quarter @ Aslesha

The only time when mind is not thinking, is in deep sleep. 

In Samskrit, we call it Sushupti - the hidden. 

When mind goes into hiding, in darkness.     In unconsciousness. 

           -   When is mind silent? 

Second quarter, Earth, Rahu, Uranus @ Bharani

All inputs through five senses get downloaded in the sub-conscious mind, as impressions. 

Samskaras are impressions that are difficult to remove.

These impressions rise up in the mind as  thoughts. 

An emotion is associated with thought. Ripples of emotion create moods. 

When one has had some exposure to Sankhya vision, one can see that, one is not the body, one is not the mind.

This witnessing creates a distance from the rise, and pour, that subsides and clears. 

The un-subdued get carried away by their Samskaras - they are Samsaris.

The subdued are sheltered.

It is important that, you taste success in life.

For you to perceive, sense and taste how empty, your normal, day to day life is, you need to be successful.

Only when you are successful, prosperous, powerful,  can you arrive at a realization, of how empty your life is. Now, you can't blame the external situation. You have everything. And you arrive at the brink, of a precipice.

That is why Indian culture speaks of 4 human strivings - Dharma, artha, kaama and moksha. 

Only after abiding in purity, living a life of prosperity, power and fulfilled aspirations, can possibilities arise, to look beyond, one's survival and security. 

Only then, possibilities to pursue Moksha can unfold.

Beyond conflict, here, now, always, 

neither turning inward nor outward, just being

Nine earth nights @ Sagittarius

Dakshinamurti and Saraswati are pale, pure, pristine - they hold rosaries, manuscripts. They are  deities of knowing.  And are siblings. 

Brahma and Lakshmi are siblings. Brahma constantly sires beings; Lakshmi emanates material bots. Golden hued Brahma is atop a lotus. Lakshmi is  associated with lotus, her hue is Suwarna. 

Durga and Wishnu are siblings. Repeated avatars - descensions to subdue demons - are the nature of Wishnu. Durga is dark hued, and is known to have quelled many demon hordes. It is this pair that navigate the affairs, of this illusory creation. 

She is Maha Maya, the great illusion. And He is Mayonne - the wizard. 

Deception is a feminine trait; and Wishnu is known for his shape shifting, deceptive skills.

Before one delves into Wedanta, one must be ready to erode one's Moha. 

And have purity of  Antahkaran or interiority -  mind, buddhi, ahamkara, chitta.

Austerities, yoga, pilgrimages,  are appropriate preparatory devices. 

Once in a way, it is good to live at a riverside, climb hills & highlands, spend time in caves.

When you walk under a  blooming tree, you feel it's fragrance. 

When you lean towards a rose bush, you sense it's fragrance, which is  prasad from the flowers. 

When you bow down to a Master, you receive as benediction, the Master's energies. As you bow down,  grace wafts to you. Those who bow, receive.
